We went to see Twisters with Tyler and Chloe, with a goal of getting them two together. It was our little scheme. Instead, we got bored and decided to play Roblox throughout the movie. Your energy is so fun and lighthearted. I didn’t know it then, but I was going to make you my girlfriend.

I kind of like this girl. We were in the woodlands for a Keyclub volunteering event. It was lowkey boring, afterwards we went to the mall. You picked out some clothes for me and made me buy them because you felt bad dragging me to the mall and only getting yourself stuff. I must say, your sense of fashion is pretty great. This was just the start to our many outings to come.

I had this day planned for like 2 weeks now. Your birthday was 4 days prior but this was the only weekend where you were free. A gift, flowers, Color Me Mine, and Toyori; this day needed to be flawless. I remember you telling me how you liked puzzles and LEGOs (specifically Starry Night), so I thought that LEGO set would be perfect. I’ve never gotten anyone a birthday gift before, hoping I didn’t outdo myself or fall short. I arrived at your house with flowers for both you and ammi, that was the first time I’ve ever met your mom face to face. I hope I made a good impression. We then drove to Color Me Mine; I had a great time painting snoopy with you. Afterwards, we went to Toyori, I’ve been there a few times before, so I made sure they had my card on file so everything would be effortless. That day went better than expected. Everything just fell into place. I knew I wanted to spend more time with you. You’re just so fun to be around. It was so early, but I have a feeling life is going to be easier with you around. HOCO 2024. I woke up super early to go to Trader Joe’s that morning to get flowers. This day was special, so I wanted to arrange the bouquets myself. We planned on meeting up to take pictures before we both go out to do our own HOCO things. I arrived to Lily’s house with the flowers, however you were still trying to get ready. Super nervous and anxious at the same time, I was lowkey sweating. But after like 10 minutes you were done. Walking down those steps, you looked so pretty in that dress. I really bagged you lol.

We planned on visiting the Museums in downtown. This was going to be our first official date. Everything went pretty smoothly. You even helped me take photos for YNPARK. Although looking back at it now, I really shouldn’t have and I don't even know why I did. But it’s okay, because you seemed to have had a really good time still. We then went to get Thai food at Street to Kitchen. Everything tasted amazing, especially the egg custard coconut sticky rice dessert. Lowkey exclusive because it wasn’t even on the menu. I’ve never enjoyed spending so much time with a person before. I am really just so comfortable with you.

You got me a boo basket. I can’t recall anyone getting me gifts like this ever. I loved and appreciated everything. And you even wrote me a letter. That was the best part. My favorite line in that letter read, “Thank you for being my best friend, tutor, therapist, and biggest supporter.” It feels so good hearing that I am a person that someone can rely on. I’ve never felt so appreciative and appreciated. So to you Ayana, thank you for being my best friend, my person, my biggest support, and my girlfriend. You’re so thoughtful and so caring, and I always want to try and live up to that.

I’ve had this day in mind for a while now, today was the day I made you my girlfriend. I wanted to do something really special: a picnic, some cute little activity, and then dinner at Uchi. I had already gone grocery shopping the night before, so that morning, I woke up early to prepare the food for our picnic. Everything turned out pretty well. I then went to get flowers and the cake, and headed to your house to pick you up. We arrived at the park, but it was the wrong one. It only started going downhill from there. The cake got messed up and I forgot the most important thing! THE CHIPS. I made you walk for 10 minutes before figuring out that we weren’t even close to being at the right place. We then drove to the correct park, but still had to walk another 15 minutes to arrive at the park itself because I chose a bad spot to park at. Bad looks Tommy… We sat down, enjoyed the food, and put on a movie, or at least we tried to (it was too sunny and we got too bored too quickly). So instead of watching a movie, I brought clay for us to play with. I saw on TikTok that people were making clay models using inspos from pinterest, and I thought that it would be a fun little activity for us to try. Realizing that I needed to come up with a backup plan for the missing chips, I decided to use the clay to ask you to be my girlfriend instead. Pretty smooth tbh. Although I had made an entire letter board for you, I didn’t get to show you until later. Afterwards, we went to Artechouse for a museum showcase. It was kinda mid but I had a great time with you. It would’ve been cooler if there were more things to see, but I didn’t let that affect my time with you. Uchi was next on the list, it was going to be my first time there. Everything was delicious. Being with you feels so effortless. You make me feel like a kid again. I can always be myself around you. You wouldn’t judge me for messing up. I want to give you the world because you deserve so much love.

We went to 13th floor on this day. Initially you were so freaked by all the actors, but then you got pretty comfortable, and even started to snap back. It was the cutest thing ever. Your fun and silly personality makes me always want to be around you. I look up to that. It’s not easy finding someone who can be themselves around other people. I’m glad I make you feel like you can because you definitely make me feel like I can.

We had one of our biggest arguments yet. I disrespected your boundaries and neglected your feelings. I’ll be forever regretful of that. After making up, I took you to downtown. We wanted to build your LEGO set, but there was no way we could finish that in such little time. So instead, we just sat down and watched wreck-it ralph. We then headed to the botanical garden for its light show. It was beautiful. We got Uchi for dinner. That place is always great. We also shared a very deep convo on relationships, between friends and significant others. I also opened up about my relationship with my parents to you that day. I always enjoy moments like this. It just shows there’s more to you than meets the eye. I went home and broke down to my parents for the first time. You make it so easy for me to feel vulnerable. I feel so safe with you. It's really so impressive to see how mature you are. And although you’re 8 months younger than me, I still look up to you a lot. You teach me so much about what maturity really means. I still have so much to learn from you.

We went out with chloe, and brendon this day. We saw the Nutcracker and had KBBQ afterwards. The ballet was great but the KBBQ was kinda mid. I always look forward to spending time with you even if it means dropping everything on my plate to see you for 5 minutes, because I know that in the future we’ll both be extremely busy. From our small little trips to get food or even just me taking you home from school. My time with you is all I look forward to. On the way home, we talked about our parents and families, how their ways of raising us affected how we are today. How your parents’ treatment towards you, especially when it came to arguments affected the way you viewed conflict. Being raised in a household where everyone would hold grudges against each other, it was hard for you to really feel close with them and be able to resolve disagreements effortlessly. I’d never want to make you feel that way. I hope I am doing my best job at making you feel comfortable and heard, even if I am still learning to open up myself.

I took you home late, so now I’m writing this 32 minutes after 12. You came over to celebrate my birthday with my family today. They all seem to like you so much. We sang karaoke all night and it was the most fun I’ve had with everyone in a while. I’ve always just sat by myself or hung out with my cousins, but now I’ve feel like I’ve just outgrown them all plus we don’t really share the same interests anymore. I’ve also never been this open and silly with my family before. You really do bring that out in me. I always love being around you. We can’t forget about your gift basket (even though I was too excited to take a picture of it). I really am so grateful for you. I appreciate everything you got for me, it was spot on. You also wrote me another letter. That will always be my favorite gift. Everything about it was so sweet, however, this one line really made me happy to hear. It read, “I can’t wait for all the adventures that we await from our trip to Switzerland to our competing matcha cafe & flower shop in Paris.” It makes me so happy to know that you see a future with me in it. You make me feel seen and loved. I really do hope one day we’ll be out exploring Switzerland and managing our own little coffee shops and flower stores in Paris.

I am writing this 14 minutes after 12. I had just gotten off the phone with you. You were the first person to wish me a happy birthday. Today was quiet eventful. We were going to make vision boards at my house but then i got lazy, so we decided to watch XO Kitty instead. I actually really like the show. this might be the first show we ever get to finish together. Afterwards we had plans to go to the Galleria for me to try on Gentle Monster glasses and smell some fragrances from Le Labo. We then left to go to the park but it was too cold, so we just hung out in the back of the Audi. I'm so comfortable with you, I wish I was that close to you all the time. We had dinner reservations at koi for 7 but we were late… I just wanted to be with you for a little longer. Koi was pretty yummy tho, we both really enjoyed the enoki butter and the koi beef appetizer. You really insisted on getting me a cake and staying up till 12 to wish me a happy birthday. I’m so in love with you. You’re the most genuine and sweetest person I’ve ever met and hope to ever meet. The best girlfriend topping all girlfriends on earth (I win).
